New Media And Society | ||
This stream examines new media technologies, their applications, and their cultural, political, and social impacts. New media involves, in broad context, the web, the internet, and mobile digital technologies. The social organization and communication features of our media-saturated world is being altered by these new technologies, including how we work, communicate, study, and enrich ourselves. Exploring these issues through four interrelated courses will provide students with an introduction to the Arts that integrates the humanities and social sciences, while offering a focal point on policy and practice. ASTU provides a small, integrated seminar on writing and academic discourse.
Note that for registration purposes ASTU.100C.JRN equals Journalism 100 for this CAP stream.
