I received my Ph.D. in English from UBC in 2014, and I have taught English and composition here since 2012.  My fields of study include affect theory, nineteenth-century American literature, and mass culture.  My research has appeared in Language and Literature and Criticism, and I am currently working on a book that explores relationships between literary experimentation and the emerging mass marketplace in nineteenth-century America.
